Guidi 991 tall lace up boots in soft black horse leather
tag size 44 (Guidi sizing can be tricky so please do your homework)
The boots are in excellent condition, rarely worn. The soles and heels show very little wear - the original grey/black 'paint' hasn't even been worn off the bottom of the sole. There are expected creases and wrinkles on the forepart of the boot where the foot flexes. There is a very slight scrape on the toe of one boot and a small ding in the shape of a line on the heel of the other. Both are pictured and no big deal, just mentioning everything. These boots are the harder toe version; so they have a slightly structured toe. The boots have no issues at all; every blind eyelet is strong and every stitch is straight and tight.
The leather is incredible. I've owned boots from almost everyone and the leather on these is among the finest boot leather I've encountered. It's thick but soft and, as can be seen from the photos, the handcut leather panels feature tons of appealing grain and character. They still have the subtle Guidi leather stink - these rank among the finest artisinal boots I've handled.
These boots are hard to find in this size. I had a difficult time finding a 44 and as far as I know the boots, at least in this if not all sizes, are sold out everywhere.
Measurements along bottom of sole...
length 12 1/4
width 4 1/16
$545.
Please add $18 for Priority shipping with insurance and tracking CONUS.
Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
