sneakers for olive chinos?

hey guys, whats up

I'm trying to complete this look I saw in GQ. Right now I have bought everything but the pants and shoes. I'm looking to get olive colored chinos, like this:

but I have no idea what color shoes I should get to go with it. I really don't like what he is wearing in that picture, I think I would rather prefer sneakers or something than those loafers (I think thats what they are). I don't know much about coordinating shoe color and pants color, so can you guys help me out? What color shoes would work with pants like these?

I'd go black belt and shoes, or dark dark brown (maybe even a dark browny red like red wine)

I really don't like these, but if you must get them, I'd really really recommend against black shoes/belt.
