I find myself wearing shirt+chinos/jeans as the weather's getting warmer, and there's only a few styles I find appealing to wear without a jacket/sweater. Problem is, they are all blue - light blue oxford, light and dark wash chambrays. Can you recommend some other colours/patterns/fabrics to expand my wardrobe?

Gingham/check flannels are one of my favorites.

Warmer = Australia? Linen is an option.

Some pinks and most shades of green will work within patterned shirts.

Yeap, Australia

I bought a twill tattersall that looks like it could be dressed up or down and an olive oxford. I'll look into gingham next

Thanks for the suggestions!

Blue dress shirts are enormously useful. Chambray versions, nice (lots of sources, keep an eye on sales from the likes of Nordstrom or Brooks Brothers outlet). Illustrating blue shirt and jeans, here's a well-spoken if harebrained Australian bodyboarder, Ben Player, sponsored by Red Bull (a full video is now out).
