Hi Patrick, any news about gmto Carmina winter boots? What went wrong with it?

Winter is over, I think we will get them just in time for the next winter. I asked this question a while ago. I think Carmina was not happy with the grain leather from the tannery so either Carmina is looking for a new supplier or different tannery.

That's too bad. I saw the dark brown grain alt wein at Epaulet and it'd make a killer jumper boot.

TS, very nice.

Do you mind letting us know what size you take in Vass U-last, Bonafe and others, and how you find the fit?

Those enzos are beautiful.

Thanks for finally giving us a top-down shot. Makes the last look much more do-able than in previous pics.

@terrorsquad - the Bonafes are beautiful in every respect - design, finish and colour - congrats! I'd also be keen to hear your take on comparative size / fit with other brands. I only have tall derby boots to go by, but I'd love to have an Oxford.

I'll give my thoughts on it this weekend. Bear in mind that the Bonafe's are a UK7.5 while the Vass is EU42 and the EG and Carmina are in an UK8.

The Bonafe chiseled last is really awesome; I would rate it either on par or better then the EG 888 last. Planning to do a black/grey single monk in the chiseled last ala Aubercy's. Anyone interested?

I went with the Skoak travel trees but I sized full size down at recommendation by Skoaktiebolaget. It's best to check with them if you decide to order travel shoe trees.
