My 2 cents would be don't use super wider angle lens. Put more focus on the shoe. Outdoor is fine to have a glimpse of Nordic, just cleaner background would do the job.

Put me down for thoroughly enjoying the scenic background. I am quite capable of enjoying beautiful shoes and beautiful landscape in the same shot. It's my superpower.

I think editing in some segments focussing only on the shoes while the narrator describes them would be a useful addition. But if the entire vid were a stationary camera focussing on a rotating pair of shoes that would be boring as he'll and definitely not what I am suggesting.

Hello guys, we're trying out a new format. We got so many nice MTOs coming through every month so I thought it would be a great idea to share some of these in a video format; Insagram has it's uses but some of these MTOs deserve some extra attention. We need to get a better audio recording device, this is an improvement we need to work with no doubt. Let me know your thoughts. Note that this is a first trial, we will improve things as we learn.

I like that idea!

Thanks for all the feedback. We’ll add some more close ups, good point. As most of you know, Skoaktiebolaget is a very small scale operation, bringing in a professional cameraman is not really an option. And I like that we do these 100% by ourselves, it’ll be more genuine IMO. The clips will improve as long as we get feedback, so keep it coming.

I just read up on some noob audio stuff and we’ll add an extra audio source and see how things evolve. This as my main concern about these first videos.

I will also try to correct the super wider angle, although I’m not sure it is possible in GoPro unless it’s in post production.

I am something of a simpleton, but I thought the video was awesome as-is.

The video is well done. While certainly you'll improve by listening to feedback from your viewers, you already are well on track. Personally, I will tune in to more in the series simply because the video was fun.

I like the videos. I'm relatively new to quality footwear but when I started looking into it I was amazed at how little presence there was on video.

First of all, I like the direction of this. Second, I know that you're aware of the issue but bad audio is a big no-no when it comes to videos. People will forgive poor quality visuals but not audio. I'd suggest you invest in a boom mic with a wind muff cover if you're going to be shooting outside.

Maybe down the line but I'd also recommend a Canon DSLR specifically the SL2. It's one of their entry level cameras with very good image stabilization. It's great if you're recording by yourself and don't have to worry about going in and out of focus. All and all, I'm looking forward to more videos.

Much better! A little bit more restraint with camera movement (no need to go back and forth all the time) and it will be perfect.
