I do not like loafers, they are together with white socks and suits, which did not fit, symbol of those who tried to be "entrepreneurs" in early 90's in Czech republic, but in fact were pimps, criminals and fraudsters.
Interesting. I always say that there's always a cultural aspect to clothing that people forget to consider when they criticize others for what they wear.

Milkshake suede 74945 NST derby on DL or danite - is my suggestion. I’d like to do brass eyelets or antique

Does anyone have experience of the instep on the monkey boots? I think the instep are generally too high for Enzo, but the monkey boot model lends itself to be laced quite close even with a low instep.

You are absolutely correct I remember one more nice example. Some years ago there were style of "spike" formal shoes with elongated front part of the shoes. I had two pairs of Dolce Gabbana at that time. Latter I was asked by some clients and even family members not to wear these since these shoes became symbol of group of people who were on the edge between politics and let's say grey zone.

Probably a silly question but can the "staple" visible in the picture have any structural or durability impact or is this just cosmetic? Besides this flaw -which I admit I did not expect to see in L&T, the boots are simply beautiful and fit just right, so I'm on the fence about whether to go through the hassle and return/replace them or just live with this.

I've seen similar once before in other, cheaper GYW shoes, which I do not own myself so don't really know how well they've held up.

I will be thinking about that. What coloure do you have on mind?

sweet!!!, something simple dark brown, burgundy (or whatever the closest natural calf color 8 equivalent), black is ok too, but less so.
