Should I wear banded sleeve polos (i.e. ones that make themselves fitted with a ribbed band around the end of the sleeve) if I have skinny arms? I am thinking that I probably should but don't know.

you mean, should you only wear banded polos? No thats silly. I have skinny arms too and I just wear polos that fit me better. They don't always have to hug the arms like a Vin Deisel t shirt.

The only thing I would say is you shouldn't wear a banded sleeve shirt that fits baggy if that makes sense. Old Navy ringer tees fit me like that and it looks pretty bad.

Wear the polos which fit best.

Polos are typically either sized big and baggy or slim. I have Mediums which are huge, and Mediums which fit like Small t-shirts. So go with polos which fit tight. Try Smalls, even -- but just because the arms fit good on a Small, make sure the length is good enough too.

Best polos I found for slim fit (and are affordable) have been Ralph Lauren and Lacoste.

If your arms are proportionally skinny to your body (as mine are, and i'm very skinny) you should be able to find polos that don't have flappy arms.

American Apparel polos have a slim fit in the body but notoriously flappy arms. RL custom or RL kids have far better arms.

I dunno my American Apparel polo fits perfect, the arms aren't flappy at all, they have just a bit of extra fabric, not tight or loose but perfect....The sleeve measures 14" and my biceps are 13"

Do you have really skinny arms?

My sleeves are like this... But imagine the arms in them about 3/4ths as wide.

Amazon is actually a good spot - there's a bunch of dealiers selling the shirts through there.

And you can always get them direct from the UK at Fredperry.com

If you're thin, the fit on these is really spot on.

cool...I have more of a problem with length, being 5'5" but Im assuming anything MIJ should work.

Speaking a banded, Ive been looking for a polo thats banded in the body like Spider from Goodfellas polo but Ive only seen a few of these and usually expensive ones. (a Gucci $700 polo is out of my price range)
