Should I put a crease in a pair of creaseless chinos?

I have a pair of white cotton chinos and I was wondering if I should have a crease put in, or perhaps I should just wear them without a crease? They came without a crease from the manufacturer.

What are your thoughts? What is the general consensus on this?

Thank you.

Up to you.

But normally I wear my chinos as is. Being more casual than anything (no crease).

Also depends what you're wearing it with I guess. I usually wear chinos with a informal/casual button up/polo and flip flops.

Chino with Creases just looks strange. So +1 for no crease.

If you are unsure, crease one leg only and wear for a day.

At day's end, tally which leg others and you prefer. Weight your vote more, though, since these are your pants.

I will occasionally crease chinos if I'm wearing them with a sport-coat, AND they're not slim-fit. Creasing can give a wider-legger chino better lines.

I usually wear mine without a crease except when I'm wearing them with a blazer and tie.

Having a hard time deciding myself. I plan to wear some chinos with a button up short sleeve shirt and a sweater vest perhaps as the office is business casual. Just purchased a couple of pair of pleated chinos and of course the have the OTR crease in them currently. Before I ironed I wanted to see what the consensus was on chinos and creases.

Some look good with creases, most don't. I don't crease mine, I think they look fine with jacket + tie too. Keep the creases for more formal pants.

OK... I hear you. As I took a closer look, one pair has pleats that seem to flow nicely with the natural crease that it came with OTR. The other pair are flat front and seem to be better worn without the crease. Is there a standard that one should follow. I haven't owned a pair of chinos in a while so I'm a bit out of practice. Just seems if pleats are involved a crease should be in the mix as well.

Life's too short to worry about keeping creases in cotton pants.

This unimpeachable advice given to the OP didn't settle the matter for you?

The man did have a way with snark.
