shoes, tie and shirt to go with a veyr light grey with white pin stripe suit

hello, need some help have to go to a reception with 500 people,

about to purchase a light Grey suit with white pin stripe. need to know what type of shoes, tie and belt should wear thank you.

any help is appreciated.

just as a note was thinking tan shoes and belt go well? or is this out of fashion now thank you.

This forum doesn't so much concern itself with what is in or out of fashion, but tan shoes would go fine with a light grey suit, as would brown shoes and as would black shoes. In-fact there aren't many shoe colours that wouldn't go with a light grey suit.

Yes, a navy tie, or a charcoal tie.

just another hting how would a white shirt with a purple tie or green tie do?

Hard to go wrong really with a light grey suit w/pinstripes.

Plain white shirt is the easiest and looks great.

Pink shirt or white with pink check is nice.

I try to avoid blue ties with grey suits because I find that black (more subdued look) or something more colourful (red, pink, purple, green) looks better.

I'd go a purple tie with a light pattern and a white shirt.
