lately i have several articles in the newspapers. its about the rise on ladies jeans and pants. the higher rise its what the better makers are doing.
the low rise makes a womans hips look even bigger than they already are.
it also makes her legs look shorter.
a higher rise makes legs look longer and accentuate the small waist.

how about this on guys what you think?

uh, as far as I know the same holds true. I'm a bit on teh short side (5.4) and some of the optical illusion tricks I've picked up include that kind of stuff. high rise makes your legs look longer. long shirts that hang too low make your upper half look big and your bottom look small so shorter shirts are better. now I buy t's with short sleaves instead of them hitting my elbow. suit jackets I buy them short, etc...
it's one thing to pick up nice stuff off of a rack, but knowing what will look good on you will make all the difference.

I don't think guys need their waists to look smaller, nor do we need to deemphasize our childbearing hips. I wear my high-rise jeans on the waist anyway and it gives me more... room... at the cost of making my already diminished buttocks disappear entirely.

I'm well aware higher rise make me look taller if worn high, but my jeans fall on my mid hip naturally / comfortably so i wear mid rise for crotch comfort / room

I always thought people who were born with legs that look too long for their body look goofy as hell.

Except high rise makes a women's ass look gross and elongated.

Mmmm... a correction may be in order here... I said "rise"... what I meant was how high/low the bottom of the crotch of the pants is from the ground (is there a name for taht?) not where the pants sit on your waistline... The blue, not the Red

You mean "inseam"?.
Anyway a fat ass girl is going to look like a big tub of lard whether she wears high or low-rise jeans. If your talking about inseam a shorter leg will partially make a girls legs look longer but to me once you look any higher than her camel toe the short inseam only accentuates how much weight the average American heffa is putting on her calves and Pay Less heels.

I've been wearing skinny jeans for the most part this year, I agree that a low rise crotchola makes me look squat and the fact that I tend to sag my jeans makes it look like my lower half is going through a period of deflation. To be the honest the anti conformist proportions and combination of comfort is what entices me to wear my jeans this way.

I wish more jeans had a higher rise, anything tucked in looks wierd as hell with low rise jeans. They don't need to be mom pants, but someone needs to tell these guys that the waist is not two inches above the crotch.
