Haha I actually bought the ticket when I was wasted back on some sweltering July evening. Now I'm paying for it. Iceland here I come.

I was there in Nov, and Reykjavik was great. I'd just stay in the city and walk or use the bus system. Hotel Odinsve is a wonderful little hotel in the heart of downtown. The attached restaurant, Siggi Hall, is phenomenal (Siggi has a cooking show there) if you can get in. Or, just wander around the city and hit the cafes/bars.

Edit: and think about booking a day trip to Thingvellir or a horseback ride. Don't forget to go soak in the Blue Lagoon as well.
