Over the last week or so I been exploring the wormhole that is denim and raw denim. For a newbie it is quite the learning curve. Reading up on brands like Unbranded, Naked & Famous, Samurai and Iron Heart has been fascinating. While the fades and efforts/techniques to get them have been interesting two things suddenly dawned on me.

1. I actually like the new denim with selvedge look and want to avoid fading. Is this odd?

2. If I'm going to be spending the big bucks I want some versatlity and so need motorcycle suitable jeans with the safety requirement/fabrics that entails. I have a relatively short motorcycle commute and want to wear these in my jeans friendly work environment.

I love selvedge and the cuffed look and prefer a dark indigo rinse. Are there any motorcycle jeans that denim heads would approve of?

Please note that Unfortunately Maple (with its selvedge) has become insolvent.
