My gf and I still have ours. Why? Mostly for sentimental reasons. We both spent a lot of time and blood and sweat into reading and making notes in them, and we weren't quite ready to let them go right after graduation. After that, they just kinda stuck around. Will we ever consult them on points of law? Probably not. But who knows, DC might freeze over one day and they'll provide a much needed heat source.

I have horrible memories of how expensive the damn business school case books were. And knowing that they couldn't be resold because of constant changes really irritated me. It was a strange feeling of anger and relief when I pitched them into a dumpster.

I was happy when a prof assigned a text rather than a case book. I found it much more useful for other things in the future.
