Recently visited a Cold War weapons research site, Orford Ness (some decent info here http://www.century20war.co.uk/page10.html). First trip, and concentrated on the outside of buildings. I generally take two cameras, one film (for good shots), one digital p&s for record shots. These were the digicam, cropped but not otherwise messed with.

Well, it's really saturated because of the light source. That's probably what you're seeing. Other than desaturating and cropping it, I didn't do much of anything to it. Personally, I find the original so saturated that it's kind of hard to look at.

I think the guy's right leg actually adds a nice bit of vertical motion to the picture, but it just didn't fit in the cropped frame. That doesn't have anything to do with the colors, though.

Sort of, it's just one of the ramp/entrances into the underneath part of the market.

Love 4th and 5th in particular. Nicely done. I'm don't have the skilz most folks here are displaying. But just because I was uploading to the computer anyway, here are some pics I took during my recent trip to Death Valley. They are, to use RJE's nomenclature, more in the nature of record shots taken with a low-to-mid end digital SLR. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...4&l=505debfcde
