Polo shirt fitting?

Hey,

I'm not usually into polo shirts, but recently bought this white Ralph Lauren polo. I quite like it. The collar is pretty neat and the logo a bit quirky. However, not being used to wearing polo shirts, I think the fit is terrible on me.

Can’t tell anything about the fit from that photo. Can’t even see your whole torso. What don’t you like about the fit?

Step one is get some sunlight to penetrate your skin and add some color to that. Secondly you'd want a polo shirt to have sleeves that come to about mid-bicep, perhaps longer. Polos are kind of rigid garments, made for well, playing Polo.

It looks a little tight to me, but it also depends on the style of the polo and your own preference. Generally speaking, polo sleeves should come down to mid-bicep, give or take. I like my shirts a little roomier, but some like them more form-fitting like this one.

Another issue is that giant, attention-grabbing logo draws your eyes to focus on it, bringing the visual away from the overall silhouette and making the shirt look proportionally off-balance. If it didn't have that logo, and you unbuttoned the placket, I don't think the shirt would look bad on you at all.
