Well, if EL72 can create a poll about suede shoes, why not about shell cordovan too?!! Since the proportion of shell cordovan is likely so much lower than of suede, I've stated the question a little differently: How Many Pairs...Do You Have? Let's see the extent of shell cordovan ownership!

Three, with one on the way, and another in the "hopefully" category.

3 and hopefully more.

Norcal...would love to see that Lidfort

Anyone have any other rare breeds of shell cordovan?
The brands I've seen are AE, Alden/BB, C&J, Lobb, Vass, Dinkelacker, Carmina, Nettleton, Florsheim, Stuart McGuire, Martegani, and Santoni. Any others?

Three I think. One pair of Ludwig Reiter Budapester in whatever they call whiskey, one pair of Alden captoes in whiskey, one pair of Alden derbies in the more traditional reddish hue.

I had seven at one point, but a suitcase containing 4 Alden shell cordovan shoes disappeared at an airport (along with some decent suits and indifferent shirts).

First, Andrew.. screw you.

Second, I had to sell my pair of Carminas after getting mandated orthotics. I'm still on the prowl.
