I had to walk in snow in these boots a while ago. I know I shouldn't have, but the damage is done, and the boots do not feel the same anymore.
before walking in snow:
now:
1. I suspect the color of my shoe cream and polish, both medium brown, is too dark. How can I restore the light red color in the picture above? Using a leather cleaner, which is supposed to remove any cream and polish, does not help. The leather above the heel is the darkest.
2. The dark stain around the tip is the result of a terrible attempt to cover up some scars. I can't think of any way to remove it.
3. Decolorization of the leather and the wooden sole is quite severe. I suppose I should paint it with heel & sole dressing products?
What should I do?
