So, I was over in the People's Republic today and stopped by Cultured Pickle Shop. I'd had their sauerkraut before, as hot dogs are pretty much my guilty pleasure, and it is awesome. It is also the only product of theirs which is available in any markets, which is kind of unfortunate because they make some of the most delicious kimchee and other pickled products I've ever tasted. The "shop" is basically five square feet in the lobby of their work area, and the seem to sell, seasonally, twenty five or so different pickle products. They let us taste pretty much all of them, and while all were good, the June garlic pickled in miso and the kabocha pickled in sake lees were the stand outs for me. Just amazing. If you are over in the Berk, it is worth searching out. If not, since there have been a good number of pickle questions on here, this is kind of an interesting video from their site:
