Demi is down to two quarts, in a Cambro, and chilling in a fridge.

Hmm, colour on my laptop is not as nice as the colour on my phone screen. Just telling you it was awesome and I felt like Salt Bae.

Re-colonizing the high school cafeteria with an adult version is Salisbury steak. Ground short rib myself, Dijon and demi mushroom gravy. Damn good.

Was just 1/4 cup. Needed to happen with that gravy.

I've baked off a ton of Brussels sprouts but on Saturday, for the first time ever, I slice/shredded them vs. just trimming and cutting in half. Very good result, nice an caramelized, and I stirred into some Trader Joe's Harvest Medley. A fine side dish and one I'll serve company.

really helps get the water out of them and cook them properly without burning the outside and being left with mushy insides.

It is a ton of work relatively speaking, but very good:

Just pulled a focaccia out of the oven. Dill was picked fresh from Mrs. Piob's herb garden. Nosh plate almost put together, steaks in the sous vide, sides ready to heat...

Now for that caviar to arrive!

Another winner from the Ottolenghi book. Stuffed eggplant rolls with coconut curry dal.

Would be a good pot luck dish since it can be prepared and then reheated.

I should have doubled the dal recipe
