1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Anyone interested in proxying APC let me know. Rescues are what I'm after in 34. I'll take a 35 if they're out of 34 (or I'll take both).

Didn't you just post in the Hober thread? If you are considering Hober ties, don't even think about getting a CT tie. They are poor to mediocre quality and not worth the price IMO. Quality>quantity.

I saw the CT sale for 50% off and got greedy to see if there was a sale to bring it down to around 60ish :) (Ive heard of 25% off sales pretty often)

But if you are correct about the Hober quality I guess I'll have to wait and get that its about the same price 60 vs 80.

Thanks for letting me know. I would have probably gone with the CT if I found a good enough sale. Now I guess ill stick to hober :)

^ Be cautious of CT pricing/sales if you're not already aware. Their pricing strategy is very similar to Jos. A. Bank and is borderline unethical if you ask me. CT ties, for instance, have a "regular" price of about $100, yet are always "on sale" for about $50 or less. Similarly, their shirts are "regularly" $140 or upwards, but are easily had for $30-$50 most of the time. In fact, I have NEVER seen CT shirts for sale the the regular prices, which are absurd anyway. I hope no suckers ever actually pay that much.

Back to the tie discussion: I've received a handful of ties from CT, each time as a free bonus item included with the purchase of shirts. I flipped them all on eBay for about $20 to $25, which is about what CT ties should cost at retail based on their quality, in my estimation. So yes, just stick with Hober or other reputable makers. :)

Sorry to go off topic on this thread.

Blake, Context and CHCM used to be my go-to online shops. One has closed down and the other two just seems to get worse season after season... :violin:

how often does tbs do 20% off their footwear?

gats restocked in smaller sizes - should I get them now or will there be a lot more opportunities to get them for (relatively) cheap later?

tbs does a 20% every once in a while, maybe once a season i wanna say? that said, 20% coupon + VAT deduction (assuming youre not in the EU) = best price for brand new MMM gats, especially if youre talking the basic white or black options.
