SVB, I compared the LE chino with the Current Season chino and the LE measures about 1 inch wider in the waist. I may need to hot soak these bad boys and hope they shrink. The cock bulge is no bueno

What jean have you handled that you would consider a 10? Just trying to put the 1-10 rating in perspective. These chinos are fairly soft. The fabric feels something like a washed jean. Stiff for a chino, but not for a jean.

THIS +11111

i had to sell the LE because my 28s felt like a 31 on me. it was ridiculous. the cut looked outrageous since the waist was so large ... i thought i had a crazy pair but i guess i wasnt the only one. i guess they figured out some issues with this seasons release

nice. How do they fit? Are you going to soak them before getting them hemmed? I just dipped the upper half of my chino (pockets up) in steaming hot water with the hope that the waist shrinks a little.

Btw, no color was lost in the process

fit is decent right now. i just had them on for a few minutes. i think i'll be ok. sizing down was definitely the best choice.

the only thing i'm not wild about is the straight pocket. i wish it was angled.

would be interesting if that shrinks them ... but i actually remember washing hot and drying my LE pair and having minimal, if any, shrinkage. thats why i was forced to sell. but maybe you will have better experience

I imagine they will likely wear differently, but not sure exactly how much that will matter. I'm not sure you can look for things like whiskering with a pair of chinos. The criteria for winning is likely just general awesomeness at the end of a year.

i dont think it will really matter at the end of the year in terms of comparison. i personally dont care and it looks like from the responses most dont care either. the LE are slightly thicker but should yield similar results with wear

i guess the obvious hope would be that those with the LEs started wearing a NEW pair around the time of the start date. since the LE's have been out for a long time, it would be ridiculous to have someone roll up with crazy contrast and wear from a 2 year old pant hahaha

Yeah good point. I bought my pair 2 months ago but only wore them a handful of times. I stopped once I discovered that we would have the contest. Maybe we can mitigate that risk by only including people that joined by a predetermined date. Maybe end of May? We could have some kind of "final roll call"

do you mean shrink? I soaked them and they tightened up to the same width as they were when new. I agree, I dont think they will shrink

I might have a pair of 34 in the LE (heavier material than current ones) as I went with a 33, I'll try em to make sure but they have been wash/worn a few times and hemmed.
