New Waistcoat Trouble

I just got a new white pique waistcoat which I plan to wear with a set of vintage studs,but unfortunately,the buttons are not removabe.Is it possible to have a tailor remove them and make it to where I can use the studs?

A tailor should be able to remove the buttons, create buttonholes and sew the buttons onto a strip so you can use them in the future should you wish to.

It should be fine, but you will want to get him to make small round holes for the shank of the studs, rather than buttonholes.
