Hello all, I am new to the site and new to fashion. I am jsut starting to dress nice and need some advice. I have several Ralph Lauren Blake shirts, several ties, a few sportcoats, and dressy black and brown shoes to wear. What do I need to start dressing sharp and looking good? I work in a retail store that sells many suits, ties, and dress shoes. I use many skin care products to keep my skin looking good and now I am looking for fashion help. Any information that anyone can give to me would be great. Let me know what I need to buy and how to wear it. Thanks.

You've asked a fairly broad question. Dressing well is more art than science.

Educate yourself about the merits of various materials, constructions, features, colors, patterns, etc.; begin to understand the effect of these various elements on the clothing itself, as well as on you specifically, given your particular physique, coloring, etc.

As you hone your ability to observe detail, you will begin to develop a discriminating taste and an informed personal style, and eventually be able to trust in your own good judgement without regard to the fashion of the times or the tastes of others.

A good place to start is one of the books by Alan Flusser (eg Dressing the Man). Good luck.
