My current frame of choice is Theo - they have a wide variety of pretty modern frames (in some edgy colors, too), but they're pretty "wearable" (ie. you don't have to be a German architect to wear them...)

I will say that I get a LOT of compliments on them - like almost daily, literally.

I currently wear Persol 2876 in black. I love the frame, but would like something a bit wider. I've been told they look small on my face. They are 53/18. Any suggestions?

in detroit only Buffies are acceptable. If you dont have cartier buffalos up here, you probably will not ever get any girls. like the song says "all white buffies got the hoes wantin to **** me".

I like the clear look. I had contemporary metal frames but they seemed to make too much of a design statement. I like how these are subtle.

Gus, Happy Holidays!
Subtle, I'm not sure. But I really like them and I think they'll
work well for you.

I had honestly never heard of Buffies. Google search led me to this fellow http://cartierking.com :\\ Interestingly enough, he's from Warren.

Also i REALLY like that clear plastic frames posted earlier... Pearle Vision has a buy one get one 50% off offer going, so i might pick the third one above ... and a pair of clear raybans for weekend/casual wear.

They have similar frames to the ones you posted.

I'm sure I also saw some clear ones from MOSCOT but for the life of me can't find them on their web page

Yeah, check them out. But make sure you can try them on first... I liked a lot of their frames on the net but when I tried them on in NY I didn't really like them that much. They're also made in China, which was a surprise.

An excellent optical company is hidalgos.com. They have a large selection, reasonable prices, and very good customer service. I have bought from them for fifteen years with no problems.
