Lately I've started to run again. I need some dance tunes that I can run to. What are you guys listening to when you run? I usually lift weight to old Metallica tunes, but unfortunately I can't run to "Enter Sandman."

I run on the street, and do not wear headphones due to safety concerns. So... I basically just think about life when I run. I realise that doesn't really answer the question of yours. If I were running on a treadmill, I might listen to Blur's Song #2, Local H's Copasetic, Helmet?, Animal Collective's The Purple Bottle, old punk like Black Flag.

Why not? What are you looking for in something different? More tempo, different style, people of color?

I don't know about calling it "dancy", but rather electronic or IDM: Amon tobin, Aphex Twin, Daft punk... chemical brothers always works.

Aphex twin: Windowlicker
daft punk: Harder, better, faster, stronger/Short circuit
Chemical brothers: Galvanize/ Block rockin' beats

Great recommendations! Windowlicker is such an addictively strange song. Here are some off the top of my head that I would listen to when jogging. They are similar in genre for the most part to CLDPSU's suggestions. Peter, Bjorn and John - Young Folks (the wizard's sleeve remix) Simian mobile disco - it's the beat Simian mobile disco - **** & acid MIA - bamboo banger Chemical brothers - do it again

I have seen windowlicker, and I just youtubed Rubber Johnny. Windowlicker is strange in the sense that its so wrong and you want to keep looking, but don't at the same time. His dancing was priceless, and I can't help but laugh when I watch it. Rubber Johnny is pretty creative I thought. Strange as hell, but I liked it for some reason. I find a strange humor in his videos.

Aaaaaand back to running music..

Yeah, I need something with a faster tempo. I've been listening to Amber's remixes quite a bit. Something along the line of "Yes" would be cool.

I know, I know, it's cheesy 90s club music, but it works for me.

How fast? How about 145-155 bpm psychedelic trance? Try Ocelot - 9 Lives and Alien FM2.
