Woke up this morning to find some mild acne on my chin and it's got me rethinking what I should be doing with my face. I've been looking around to see what people have to say on this subject, but some places are pretty vague and I'm unsure on how to work this out with shaving regularly.

At the moment, all I do in the morning is shower, wetshave with a DE safety razor, apply an alum block or witch hazel, and finish with a facial lotion that is a combination of aftershave and sunscreen (SPF 20).

I'm thinking I should add a facial cleanser and moisturizer to this routine, but I'm not sure where or even how. For example, should I apply the facial cleanser in the shower? Leave it on, rinse it off? Will shaving every morning affect what I have to apply?

As an aside, the acne is not bad but I'm also thinking of perhaps adding some benzoyl peroxide cream as well. I could just use some tips on this subject, thanks.

Get a cleanser, drink lots of water - maybe experiment with different after shaves. Geo F. Trumper Skin Food basically cured any post-shave acne/razor bumps for me.
