Hi all,

Quick question - re MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela - is it a line exclusively for women, or does it include some pieces for men, too?

Thanks.

It's owned by Diesel and not designed by Martin Margiela in any way, shape or form. Who cares if there's a men's line?

It's exclusively women. Brian, you seem bitter. AFAIK, hardly any of MMM's men's line has had any input from Martin Margiela himself, excluding iconic pieces like the Rider's jacket...

As far as I know, Margiela does not really do much himself. His team does all the designing work. Margiela just sits back and ok's thing. This is not to say that he did not design them before.

The same goes for Raf for his own line, Raf Simons, and for Jil Sander. He does not really do anything anymore either.

It's similar to how Matt Groening didn't draw every frame of the Simpsons. A Creative Director (or equivalent) rarely does the hands-on work after they've established the aesthetic, but of course everything goes through them for approval.

Yes, I agree. However, I feel there has been a slight change of direction. Glitter?! Looking at his early stuff, I'd never imagine he'd do that....
