Dear Folks:

Recently bought this coat:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=025

Auction has closed, so link may or may not work.

For those who cannot view: it's a 2B sport coat with a birdseye gray and black patterned cashmere cloth, patch pockets, and a single rear vent. Very well done. Fit is pretty good out of the box.

Label reads Marco Weisbard, 697 Fifth Ave. Make date is illegible. Styling suggests it may have been the 70s, 80s or 90s -- classic.

Google offers only a death notice for a Marco Weisbard who died in 2006 age 94.

Does anyone have any information about or experience with this tailor?

Mack (aaron) must have found a garment made by your grandfather at a thrift store. he was just trying to get info as to find out what sort of garment he made.
I workked for a woolen company in 1981. i vaugely remember selling him some fabric.

do you remember going to his tailor shop? any famous customers that he spoke about?
thanks
Carl
