Anyone have recommendations on dark brown chukkas in suede?

I'd like to get a pair, but this is a new style of shoe for me so I'd like some advice and suggestions.

Thanks

I like the C&J Tetbury (see today's suede shoe post). It's a bit Robin Hood, but i dig it.

I just got the Alden flex welt in dark brown and I think it's going to be my go-to casual shoe.

How are the soles on those holding out? You must have worn the **** out of them. (I love them by the way).

Frankly I'm very fond of the good old Clarks desert boots.

The Aldens worn by many here also look very good to my eye.

I would agree on the Clarks. I bought a pair this year and love them. However, I'm pretty certain they're going to be a one season shoe, three months old and they're already looking beat.

It's the crepe sole. Very comfortable, but wears out quickly.

I second the vote for the C&J Tetbury. I have a set in the "Dark Brown Antique Nubuck" (which has more of a calf-like finish).

seems great to wear, at least for me, with jeans and going around job sites and such.

How about some of these bad boys from Russell Moccasin Co.? They are a bit spendy for me but perhaps they'll do the trick for you:

I feel like if it has more than 3 pairs of eyes, its not really a chukka. and 3 is pushing it.
