I have a new To Boot New York loafer, and the leather liner inside them "squeaks" when I walk (when my toes move forward a bit as my feet bends). It squeaks when I curl my toes in them just sitting. It is a bit annoying, so I was wondering whether there is any solution to that?
I searched the forum, and came across two suggestions - wool socks (I wore them with cotton ones) and talcum powder. The former sort of defeats the whole purpose of loafers as summer shoes, and the latter - have anyone tried that? Is there anything else that can be done?
Thanks!
