Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a few good belts to wear with some dark indigo jeans. Where does everyone go for quality belts? Approximately what price range are people paying for them? Any suggestions of manufacturers or particular models would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bob

Tanner, ALD or Leather Goods Connection. Tanner and ALD (Atelier LaDurance) are both available from Context. Or you can go directly through Tanner for more options and maybe better prices. LGC is the cheapest, google for more info or do a search here. Prices are from $50 to $130, roughly. It was nice talking belts with you.

No prob, Bob,

Also, forum member Unlucky.

Look for his thread "horsehide wallets and belts"

Cheaper and more options.

I have to second Unlucky's work reccomendation. He made me a fantastic wallet out of raw leather. Cheaper than Tanner or ADL, very high quality worksmanship and pretty easy to work with.

plenty of options. I make belts (Gallery), as does Unlucky and Corter which are both great options.

Another vote for Unlucky, I am very happy with the belt that he made for me.

Unlucky (Scott) is great. You tell him what you want and he will make it for you for cheaper than all the other comparable options. He made me an ALD saddle belt clone and am very happy with it. Highly recommended.

ok I'm gonna stop my fake posting tonight and post in this thread! I own a lot of belts!

unlucky - does awesome, awesome work. I just had him make me an EXTRA thick cowhide leather belt.. thing is like a tank

LGC - also nice work, make some nice dressier options. send your stuff out very quickly.

tanner - I have a tanner belt and it's ok. I don't like the fact that the button is replacable, because the snap thats used to close the area is extra thick, and creates an awkward bulge

j crew - I have a limited edition made in the USA j crew belt that I wore for like 8 months street, was awesome. picked it up for $15 down from like $95

Here are two HTC belts I picked up last fall, I'm hoping to get Unlucky to make me a strap for the extra buckle I picked up.

Can anyone post pics of some worn in Unlucky or LGC belts? Just ordered a natural coloured bridle LGC belt and tan shrunken grain wallet, looking for my next purchase to be a black belt (possibly Tanner).
