Hi All,
I've been thinking about buying a quality leather jacket for a few years now and am going to Milano for a week shortly and want to finally pull the trigger and get a jacket but for my long term use and as a nice reminder of the trip. (I like my 'souvenirs' to be very functional) Does anyone have any suggestions for leather shops around Milan that are reasonably priced for a good leather jacket? In terms of reasonable I'm thinking 250 - 500 Euro price but would spend up if the quality dictates it probably up to a maximum of 750 Euros (After all I cant spend more than she doesn't on a designer handbag 'souvenir) Or am I was too low and have to go up in money to get reasonable quality, and by reasonable I'm hoping for 10+ years out of it with mild to moderate use, not everyday 365.
As for the style. Right now I am leaning heavily towards a black jacket as I wear mostly black leather shoes with work and feel it would be more versatile for me than brown. There are two example jackets I have for you both from Wilson Leathers https://www.wilsonsleather.com/prod...-thinsulate-lining.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=fn and https://www.wilsonsleather.com/prod...et-w--full-placket.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=fn
I'm really not sure how I feel about the collars, I feel I can go either way depending on who convinces me best, which also means I don't think either is a wrong choice. I definitely don't want a bunch of zippers and aggressive angles in ultra thick horsehide for real motorcycle riding. From what I've heard I think I want it to be lambskin but I am option to suggestions. My main criteria are 2 slanted pockets for my hands, no idea if I want them to zipper or not, and an internal breast pocket I can put sunglasses in. Other than that I want it to be fairly clean.
I'm in my Mid-20s, fairly athletically built, and mostly dress business casual (wool dress pants, nice leather shoes, and nice dress shirts) daily for work and off the clock I wear mostly jeans/chinos and T-shirts/polos/sportshirts depending on the weather and setting if any of that helps.
I know this is a bit of a ramble but basically I want a nice looking black leather jacket that is not too agressive looking for an office job costing around 250-750 euro that I could find in Milan.
Any suggestions and help from there would be greatly appreciated.
