Leather heels and sound?

If I were to add a leather heel to a shoe, will the heel make those 'clock clock' sounds when you walk? Will most, if not all leather heels produce this sound? How do I tell (while still at, say, the cobbler's?)?
While the sound produced might be considered a disturbance sometimes, especially in quiet rooms, I quite like the sound.

A stacked heel can be very noisy. A lot of it depends on how you walk in them.

It also depends on what you are walking regularly. If it's the marble halls of a court house they'll probably click. If the cushy carpet of an office, then they won't.

l love loud shoes. Some of my shoes are very loud indeed. Â

l would dearly love to wear an all leather heel but l find that it wears alot quicker. Best to have a combo heal. Regards everyone: from the shooman.

And I think they would make quite some noise when snapped together too.
Perhaps I should get a combo heel; of rubber and leather, I presume?

Maybe you could just have them put taps on your shoes - then you'd always get that clicking sound - and you'd be able to break into an impromptu shuffle and jive routine at any time, a la "Singing in the Rain" or any other musical
