Any idea how your Lobbs will fit compared to Edward Green on the 888? Also, what is the width on teh Berluti? Thanks.

Hello, I am sorry I am not familiar with the EG last 888 but here are the measurements, I have taken the width at the widest point and the length.
The Ludlow is W 10.8 L 32
The Marshall is W 11 L 31
the Berluti is W 10 L 30

Measurments are in CM

Thank you for your interest and I hope this helps.

Regards

The Berlutti are nice, I usualy dont like Berlutti ...
But I would appreciate pictures of soles, to see wear.
As I find the creasing on both to indicate such.
Never having seen anny such creasing on other B's

tnx

Any idea how the 8695 compares to the 8000/7000 last.

I normally wear a UK 9.5 in most British shoes, but have gone with a UK 9 in the 8000-7000.

Since your shoe is a 9, I am very interested if the fit is right.

Thanks

Hi,

The ludlow should be fine for you but I would not recommend the Marshall as this is the closet fitting 9 that I have had in the JL'svery similar to the JL Adelaide they used to make.

The 7000 last is a bit more generous then the 8000 last with the JL and the 8695 used to be the most widely used last within the JL collection I think this may not be true now, it is in between the 7000 and 8000

Regards

I will try and get a picture of the soles today, sorry about this as my expertise with the digital camera is not very good but I will try and attach a picture

The creasing was a concern at first I was told by Berluti that this is common with whole cut leather shoes weather this is true or not I do not know, I have worn these shoes no more then on 10 occasions.

Looking at my Cleverley I have on today I think the creases add more character to the shoe.
