Agree with @Mikeisonfire, I use The Container Store Drop Front Boxes as well. Was kinda sad because about a month after I started buying a bunch of them, they came out with the black boxes, opposed to the clear which they had forever.

Bro, the fit of the Basalt Tee is fire. I'm new to JE and only have owned the classic crews, definitely gonna look into getting a basalt tee.

Oh interesting! "Better quality" was from the rep on Instagram lol, but for $80 for barely used Canyons, I couldn't pass that up! Hopefully the stretch is just enough for me since I do have bigger thighs and calfs where the current Japanese ones hug pretty good while being somewhat loose on the waist.

I could be wrong (my canyons are a couple sizes too big for me now) but I think OG canyons were the old OG cast 2 cut, so they re a little looser in the leg.

Appreciate the info! Yeah, I think I'll wait until those come in and see how they fit and if I don't like them cop the new ones if they're still available.

I wouldn’t say the newer ones are better quality, the previous versions were selvedge denim, so they are actually better quality.

Selvedge alone doesn’t by any means equal quality. You can get selvedge denim almost anywhere.

Heads up... it may be counter-intuitive since the Basalt is already an oversized tee, but if you grab any Silk tees, you're gonna wanna size up one.

Gotcha, thanks! Yeah I have to size up 1 on the Classic Crews because I have broader shoulders, should I go TTS on the Basalt or size up 1 as well, even the non Silk tee's?

I just found an old Grailed post on the MiUSA Canyons and the measurements for a worn once pair was actually about the same as the MiJapan pairs.

Selvedge if I'm not mistaken just helps reinforce the denim to make those seams stronger... I would agree with @MIKE_JE that it's not necessary for all our denim but it's definitely nice to have.

Couldn’t decide on colors so I grabbed both Canyon and Spruce. I stayed tts so hopefully they have some stretch more then the indigo raw which have barely stretch in my experience.
