Underappreciated? It's the song that all non-JA fans know (along with "˜White Rabbit'). "˜Watch Her Ride' (my absolute favourite), "˜Feel so Good', "˜Ice Cream Phoenix', and others, are underappreciated. Most people aren't even aware of them.

Try her on "˜Two Heads' (alternate version) and "˜Greasy Heart'. The two best Slick voiced Airplane songs.

i used to sit on the floor in the middle of my room and listen to 'after bathing at baxters' and 'surrealistic pillow'... good stuff to listen to while drawing/reading, nothing i am insanely fond of however.

I saw the Airplane twice, the second time with Hot Tuna. The first time they were very good, the other medicocre. They had a reputation for being uneven in concert.

i actually haven't ever done drugs. I was just really into psychadelia and art rock for a short time during my sophomore year of high school. so i just started buying up LP's of whatever i could find... no one seemed to be that into it so i was able to find a lot of decent albums for 3-4 bucks a piece. my dad used to see my records and ask me if i was smoking, i think he was slightly dissapointed when i said no.

none of it ever really seemed to connect with me... it was good music and i appreciated the talent but i'd listen to something 3-4 times in a row like i might other stuff i was into at the time and just grew tired of it.

i think the progressions and sound would definitely be enhanced with drugs.... just never really had the desire to do them when the opportunity presented itself.

by a Hells Angel. I think the Airplane still exists technically, w/ Paul K. as its only orig. member. Jorma has been doing some cool stuff - I think he runs a guitar school in Ohio. Have always enjoyed Quah...

From the first time I saw Jack Cassidy in the 60's I thought he was one of the coolest looking guys in rock with the round sunglasses and often a military dress jacket or suede with fringe. The guy has style.
