Don't like it guys ? =/

Im still going to keep it, I need a red chambray in my outfit anyway. I remember RRL sold one last year for well above my price range. Getting one for 83 bucks is a steal.

and sorry about the photos, took them real quick for you guys.

It is pretty bad. The red chambray isn't even red.

If they call it "red" on the site I would be shocked. It's def "sun washed" or whatever bullshit J.Crew says now.

If you like it keep it. Don't worry about what people on the internet say.

I am just shocked it looks like this.

really? i mean many people here have the grey or regular chambray, or at least some other utility shirt. how is anyone surprised that this would be anything other than a variation on an existing pattern?

You really shouldn't be shocked...I know I've mentioned this before but, again, red chambrays almost always look pink due to the red and white threads used in the fabric. Although they don't have to be, colored warp and white weft is pretty much the standard for chambrays.

I'm sure my photos are not doing it justice, but I won't lie. The color of the shirt of my photos represents the color of the shirt almost to the T. So if you guys are looking for a red chambray, look elsewhere. This thing is sunwashed/bleached or whatever you wanna call it. But none the less an shirt that is essential to my spring/summer lineup.

Edit: yea there is def white all built within the shirt.

No doubt. I can picture a old farmer in Kansas wearing this shirt under his overalls chewing on a straw of hay. A hankerchief bandana hanging out his back pocket as he waddles down his dusty dirt driveway. Sweating from the hot sun and cursing up a storm about nothing.

first of all the shirt looks fine. second of all, you guys saw a J Crew lookbook photo and didn't think it was altered? contrast, color enhancement, like 6 clothes pins, popped collar ?!!? I guess that's the internet for ya though.

From Robert:
Screw the Red Chambray
Only decent shirts worth picking up so far this season are the celtic green and plantation hill madras.

Come on...do the colors in that photo resemble anything you see in real life? And it's not like J.Crew is known for taking true to life photos of their clothing in the first place anyways..
