I just caught this on Netflix, so I’ll add a few from Miracle on 34th Street (1994). I may come back to add some from the 1947 original al the wardrobe was great in it as well.

Lots of heavy fabrics. Really love the tweed 3 piece:

View attachment 897777 View attachment 897776 View attachment 897775 The costume designer for White Christmas was the legendary Edith Head (who did all of Bing's "Road" pictures with Bob Hope). She did both the male and female leads.
Not just the (great) clothes in that film but there’s a scene early on in the dressing room where Bing and Danny are arguing about women and time off... they’re changing out of their stage clothes and into suits to go out to a club to see the Haynes sisters, doing it for a pal in the army - freckle faced Haynes the dog-faced boy! The banter and movement as they get changed, throwing shoes around and hanging clothes in travel trunks is pure cinematic poetry. We watch this every year and love it. Also saw it as a stage show several years ago which was a great experience.

Film: Joyeux Noel ( 2005) Commemorating the 1914 Christmas Truce on the Western Front

Note the elegance of the officers early in the war.
