Don't have official New Years resolutions per se, however I do have a few goals. Starting my first real job in my career in a week, so I want to save some cash. Also want to finish an album with a musical project I've been working on the past few months.

I'm gonna make a post in the streetwear forum. I'm also hoping to post at least one fit pic in the WAYWT thread.

I'm gonna get back on the bike...this cyclocross season was awful since I completely lacked motivation after I broke my hand and without any base mileage, I was slow as ****.

Also contemplating taking judo (or some other martial art with lots of tumbling)--I've always kind of wanted to try a martial art and it is supposed to be really good for teaching you how to crash your bike and come out with nothing more than a scratch.

Set a couple goals for this year:

* Train and complete half marathon. Training starts in Feb and event in May.
* Pay down student loans at a rate of $1000 / month
* Continue to diversify my asset allocation within retirement portfolio by adding one new mix within Roth IRA for the year.

Any particular reason for overpaying on these?

Are they particularly high interest? Most student loans are cheap money and you'd be better off in the long run just paying the minimum and investing the difference.

I'm living at home with parents until I pay off the loans.

I'm almost done with my emergency fund. I maxed out Roth IRA in 2011 and put 25% of pretax money into 401k. The only thing that's holding me back from moving out are the loans. I figured I can afford to pay down loans aggressively for this upcoming year and still max out retirement accounts. Sure I could cut down on student loans and invest more but I'd end up having to invest in a taxable account...

Thoughts?
