I'm more of a street/causal dresser.. Jeans with a nice button shirt & shoes etc... But anyways..
I've always wanted a blazer but never really made the jump on the purchase.

I was at Express/Men and fell in love with some of there Blazers they had, but ouch 200.00 is a little tight for me right now. Normally i wouldn't mind but it's just not high in my purchase priority right now.

Any brands out there i should look out for that offer a more affordable Blazer/jacket that i can wear on top of my current outfits?

Thanks,
Tom.

You can probably go into most any department store and pick up a nice blazer for around $100 or so.

Maybe 100.00 ish. I'm open to options.

Is 200.00 a norm for a dcent blazers?
Express, BR, AX and a few ive looked at were around $200.00

You might be able to find some slightly cheaper ones at Urban Outfitters, if you're looking for something between 100-150-ish.

I've got a raf simons blazer cut jacket with side pockets that might fit your bill.

this will be my first casual blazer, too. i could have gone with a standard navy or grey unstructured blazer, but i want to experiment with this. see how it works out for me. will be casual but will wear it at night. i'll be a bit funky but i think it will be cool.

Go to a thrift store and find something that is close to the right fit and have it altered. Or go to Target and get a cheap ass blazer, its gonna be about the same material quality and construction as you would find at Express.

I'd say that $100 will get you a pretty **** new blazer - at least one that's not marked down considerably. It's pricey to construct a good one. Even Cheap Monday blazers - which have a sharp fit and are decently made - start at $150. It's better to get a used one that's made with good fabric. Thrift stores, though, can be difficult.

Your best bet is Ebay. Enter "Vintage Blazer 38" (change the 38 to whatever your size is) and there's a lot to choose from. The 60's slim lapel models are really great - and have ten times the character of anything from BR or the like.

Check the Buying and Selling on here (and supermarket on sufu). Also, great deals are to be had on eBay.
