What's your experience with shirts by Hugo Boss?

How do they compare to shirts by Hickey Freeman, HSM, Ike Behar, Polo?

If one can buy them on sale - for $20-30 - are they worth the price?

Thanks,
William

Yeah they're worth the price at $20-30, if you can get them easily.

Quality is on par with Polo/Ike Behar/HSM, but probably not as good as Hickey Freeman, which seems in line with Robert Talbott.

HB also seems to have two lines of shirts - ones priced at $80-100 which are made in Asia, and another line priced $140-180 or so which is made in Italy.

The black label shirts without the pocket are slimmer fitting than the ones with. Outside of that I'd say 20-30 is a wonderful price for HB dress shirts. Turn them into polish rags when you're done with them.

Definitely worth the price @ $30. I have a Boss Black Label indigo shirt I picked a few years ago that is still one of my favorites.

As soon as I saw the topic, I wondered how long it would take for a Nazi reference.

you can also find, from time to time, black label boss shirts made in switzerland, which are of considerable better quality than the made in italy ones

... i've often surmised that they're left-over re-badged baldessarini shirts, but now that baldessarini has been cut loose from the hugo boss empire, i'm sure i'll never find out .....
