How to tell if suit just needs to be pressed or if there are fabric issues?

Hi All -

I tried to find info on this by searching the forums to no avail. Was hoping to get some input on how to distinguish between repairable/irreparable issues with suit fabric -- particularly wool. I just had a brand new suit dry cleaned (after being stupid and getting something on it, before I was even able to tailor it). Upon return, I noticed some rippling on the right side of the lower back along the center seam. Is this the result of a incomplete pressing? Or could this be a more serious issue? Hoping to get some generalized advice re: how to identify wrinkling vs. more serious issues with the garment's fabric.

As a side note, the jacket as pictured does fit much more snug than it did prior to being cleaned. The cleaner I used is apparently a reputable cleaner specializing in high-end garments. The suit is a Cesare Attolini.

It's odd that the jacket would shrink on you after a clean especially if it's brand new; that will happen on trousers but because the cotton waistband will stretch with wear and then shrink back after cleaning.

I would venture it's just a pressing issue and you can probably try at home to remedy it with your standard ironing kit. Because that back has no canvas and the center seam isn't really shaped otr I would suggest try ironing it and see if it goes away (use a pressing cloth to not heat fabric directly and do not aimlessly move the iron back+forth like you would on a shirt) .
