At which point it'll contain so much antifreeze it won't be useful for anything else.

+1. I want lowflying aircraft to bank because their pilots are blinded by the glare.

When I polish my shoes, I try to get them as shiney as possible. That doesn't last very long and I tend not to worry too much about that.

Just like my shoes polished and clean, no shine, no glare, in the same way that I don't like a rigid military like crease on my pants or shirt sleeves and in the way that I like my sportcoats to seem like I grabbed it from the bed or from a pile on my closet. Like everything "easy".

Mirror shine only for black tie as far as I'm concerned. Otherwise a clean but matte shine.

Olga prefers to call it "Artisanal Moonlight Juice".

I shine to a mirror finish but usually go multiple wearings without polishing, so the shoes end up being more "soft spoken", which I am fine with.

The Berluti or JL shine for me only, the shoe must have a gleam to them if they are going on my feet.

You can tell the difference in a the quality of the shoe shine from Berluti, EG's or the JL's against that of some cheaper shoes.

Depends on the setting...I like a mirror shine for formal meetings but the soft spoken look works especially well on brown shoes ime.

First time I've heard of that. However, wouldn't corrected grain leather be the most shiny?
