Buying say a size 30" waist(my size in many styles) in any brand is like a lottery, sometimes at the waist they can fit like a 32" or sometimes like a 28".
This happens even between different styles of jeans from the same brand or same brand and style but different year.
I have come across the term vanity sizing, why would they do something so ridiculous and then also not apply it universally across the brands styles?
For instance here's APC's sizing on a style, non of the waist "Sizes" have any correlation with the actual size:
I have used APC as an example here but virtually every brand has some form of hocus pocus for their sizings.
The long and short is you either need to know your brand really well or try them on first to check the size.
Ordering online can be a nightmare!
