Hey everyone,
I'm new to the boards so I apologize in advance if I step on any toes by accident

Anyway , I'm in HK on vacation and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on shopping around here. I've already ordered some shirts for work from Ascot Chan, but thats about as far as my clothing shopping has gone so far.

So any recommendations on stores or local brands that are any good? I'm on the lookout for some nice dress shoes, maybe a pair of jeans, and some casual stuff if the quality/price is good. Also, I'm from NYC so if there are any items in particular that would be significantly better (or worse) to purchase in HK than in NYC, that would be good to know.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks a lot in advance

here is a thread from the SW&D forum of this site that will give you some non-dress stores to look at

http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=38734

as mentioned in that thread, take 5 is the best spot for japanese denim, some labels of which are only sold at blue in green in soho in nyc but the HK$ price will be a better bargain

One thing about Ascot Chang,
They have a sales counter at SOGO Causewaybay,
You can get discount from it if you order more than one shirt.

Kow Hoo need more than six months to make a pair of shoe.

some casual stuff if the quality/price is good.
You could score some short sleeve linen shirts and cheap khaki pants in Giordano. They're not exactly the best in quality but they're quite cheap.

Also go to Sogo, you'll find lots of stuff on sale- socks, jackets, shoes.... And don't forget to enjoy some dimsum in Metropole.
