I can't imagine Hickey is too popular of a brand on SF, but I was wondering if anyone could speak on their suits' fit v. suits from RLBL or Hugo Red. Both of those fit me fairly well, with the RLBL obviously giving more shoulder padding.

Interested in some of these suits up on Gilt right now, which at $450 or so seem like a decent but not exceptional deal.

It's not a bad price but is no bargain.

HF's Hickey and LTD suits are entry-level. OK, but nothing special. I prefer their mainline (i.e. Madison or Boardroom) line.

overall a good deal. if you're after a modern-cut OTR at good quality, you don't really have many options. i also find that the jackets drape and "behave" well for a fused jacket. not a fan of the corneliani-style heavy shoulder padding though.

obviously, the extent to which anything is a good deal is a function of where you're located and your willingness to trawl the net to snag the perfect bargain-basement deal. adjust rating accordingly!

The two are not contradictory.

Thanks for the advice all, I refrained. Gilt's also doing Belvest and Corneliani in the next few days, so I'll take a look at those.

right. fully line has to do with the cupro or rayon lining inside. it is a feature that has to be advertised, whereas, fusing doesnt have to be advertised.

Ah thanks for clearing that up. I guess I was reading that as fully canvassed.
