Are these boots too glossy to wear with jeans? I can't get my hands on any other decent Chelsea boot where I live.

Could you de - gloss them at all?

Degloss with the application leather condition and gently wiping with paper towels. Should remove the surface factory finish gloss.

Was thinking of buying the Chatsworth myself. Just wonder, how "waxy" the "waxy brown" looks and what happens with shoe polish on it. However I would go for the "Herring" version of the shoe.

The online pics of the chatsworth dont do them justice. They dont look waxy in real life at all.

Given the drop in the Aussie dollar, you might want to also look into importing a pair RM Williams from Australia? I think what they call Chestnut is a nice dark brown.

That is an excellent proposal! I usually wear 8F in my shoes. Should I go for a 8F model with RM Williams as well? Any good online source?

I have a pair of these. I put a thin rubber ( Pirelli ) sole over leather one to handle New England elements. I also use the Paraboot Beeswax Polish on these and they give them a dull but preventive shine. They have aged nicely and I wear them with Denim all the time.

We have an account with Loake, so if anyone is inclined to order a pair, please let me know.
