No. My sister got caught stealing a chocolate bar when we were young, and the amount of yelling she got from my parents convinced me that it was best to just pay for what I wanted.

I stole one of those small, individually-wrapped Reese Peanut Butter Cups when I was probably 3. I caught an earful from my dad. No more.

I took some Necco wafers from Magruder's in Vienna, Virginia when I was 6. My mother found them and promptly marched me back to the store by my ear and introduced me to the store manager. The manager and I had a nice little chat - the specifics of which I've long since blocked from my mind.

Accidentally a few years ago, but I took the item back when about a block away, I realized I had absent-mindedly walked out of the store with it. I don't remember ever doing it deliberately in my youth, but I may have blocked it to preserve my memory of having been the sweetest and most angelic of kids.
