I bought this and it's a wonderful asskicking tweed sweater cardigan. How do I pair it? I bought a Gitman Bros green/red shirt, but it's Christmas-like. Could I wear a blue 2 button blazer over it and chinos? It's the shirt I would wear under the sweater that I need feedback about mostly.

Solid dress shirt of non-christmas color is a good start. White always looks crisp with a cardigan like that. As does pink, some shades of light blue, some light reds (but not pinks). Softer colors are definitely better, imo. If you're a bit adventurous you could attempt a white with subtle, sparse red (or another complementary color) stripes/checks. Don't put a blazer over it; it'll look odd, or at best make you look like an 80 year old English lit professor.
