Going to Japan, looking for some advice

Hey guys Ive been browsing the forum for a bit now and I really like it but I haven't posted much so I guess this is an intro as well. Ive been trying to develop my style for a while now but this forum has really pointed me in the right direction with regards to retailers, but at the moment Im waiting for the value of the Canadian dollar to go up before I buy a few pairs of jeans from the denim bar.

Anyways, Im over in Seoul, Korea right now and I may have the opportunity to go to Japan in the near future and I was just looking for some advice from you guys as to what I should be on the lookout for. I know Japan is an expensive country to go to, does this extend to clothes as well? Any suggestions are welcome such as what to look for, where to go, etc.

Cheers

i'm always suprised how many people here in sf are in seoul. given the current fx prices, you might be waiting for quite some time to cop some goods over there. use that american/canadian credit card and just buy stuff here instead - unless you yearn for that slubby *** denim and americana work wear.

I happen to love Number (N)ine, Undercover and the various Yohji Yamamoto lines. Julius and Diet Butcher are cool too. I think the Japanese Barney's (and probably other department stores) get a lot oof cool stuff that the American market never sees. I'm sure that stuff will still be hella pricey, but probably a bit cheaper then outside of Japan.

From what I understand though, a lot of the Japanese stuff we love isn't really that popular or easy to find over there either.

You might be able to make a bit of a profit proxying stuff for people too, check out the SF proxy thread.
